Loving traditionally Handmade soap, natural ingredients, and being an artist inspired me to produce this artisan range of health and beauty products with a personal touch.
I developed my own recipes, have sourced simple accessories, and make all the products in my kitchen, in small batches. The packaging is simple, reusable, and recyclable.
- The name of the business is my grandmothers, Margaret May, which appears as MMaySoaps in the logo and stamped onto the soaps.
- Margaret May was a strong and feisty independent Somerset farmer’s wife. She set up several small businesses herself. She was fascinated when I went to art school and then went traveling. She would have loved these products and the local business ethos. She would also have been familiar with soap making on the farm especially in her childhood and during the war.
I sell my products around Bristol in shops and local craft markets, check out my Facebook page for dates and locations.
I run demonstrations and workshops for individuals and groups, ask a question for details or book via YUUP.
