I run workshops that will give you a unique insight into the processes and recipes I use.
I love sharing my craft and introducing people to the world of homemade, natural products. Come along to my home to experience making and ask questions, discover everything you’d like to know about creating your own soaps, whilst enjoying a cup of tea and cake.
Workshops dates by arrangement, 1.30pm – 4pm £45 per person
What you’ll do;
I will show you how to make soap first hand, using high quality ingredients and traditional processes. Then you’ll roll your sleeves up and create your own soaps using a recipe rich in coconut oil and vitamin E. You’ll finish up with your own honey and oatmeal soap ‘loaf’ to take home – which you can slice into 5-6 soaps to enjoy afterwards.
As an extra bonus, I'll also show you how to make lip balms by creating a batch on the day and then giving everyone a pot of this freshly made balm to take home.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING;
'I did this workshop with Karen from Margaret May Soaps. It was great fun, learnt about the history and a bit of science of soap making. Watch a demo by Karen and made our own soap. Our soap has been curing (think that’s the term) for about a month now. Karen was a brilliant workshop host, really informative and attentive when we were making our own soaps. Small group size was just right. Highly recommend.' 'Maria Tottle, July 21'
'Very nice experience and introduction to the different methods of soap making. Karen was the perfect host. Openly sharing information for those wishing to take this skill forward to another level. Demonstration, followed by interactive session to make your own soap to take home. The only challenge is waiting for your soap to cure at home for a month…counting down the days. Would definitely recommend this experience. Thank you Karen.' 'Pam Parsons, Jul 2021'
'Karen is an excellent host. Her session was very well prepared and presented and I came away with lots of information. She firstly demonstrated the soap making process and then gave us the practical activity of making our own which was very rewarding. The pace of the afternoon was very relaxed and friendly and I would happily recommend Karin's workshop as excellent value for money.' 'Elizabeth Jackson, Oct 2020'
'A very enjoyable afternoon learning something new.' 'Wendy Harris, Oct 2020'
